Perhaps the most lovable canary ever to roam the earth, turned 73 this last November. Yes, that's right...73! Tweety made his first appearance in the animated short film, A Tale of Two Kitties, which was released in November 21, 1942. His name was not yet known, however.
While Tweety's cuteness and mischievous personality was revealed pretty much right away, during his initial appearance, he was not given a name until later. His color was not developed yet either: he was a pinkish color at first rather than his usual bright yellow. Also, although he may have already been given many of the noticeable aspects that shaped his personality, his character was later toned down a bit. After the directors were switched, Tweety became less malicious, and although he remained curious and mischievous, it was in a more playful and less aggressive way.
